Patio has been enlarged to make room for a cooking area and is now surrounded by a beautiful garden of low-maintenance plantings and walkways.

Now a beautiful paver patio with fountain urn and double swing arbors plus plenty of room for additional seating options. Notice the seat wall that surrounds the patios on two levels. Plantings were added later that provided additional beauty; however, we failed to stop our progress and take a final picture.

An unsightly mess awaits the homeowner each time they walk down the back stairs of their home to the driveway.

The mess has been converted to a beautiful, flat concrete paver patio with swing arbor and new lighting.

After preparing the ground with layers of stabilizing materials and installing beautiful concrete pavers, the homeowners can now enjoy a beautiful level patio that provides plenty of space for cooking and lounging. This project not only added beauty to the home, but value as well!

Voila! On a small budget, he designed the perfect solution! Naturalized area with small flagstone patio and swing arbor. Now what was a useless eyesore has become a beautiful tranquil sitting area.

This small screened porch did not provided enough sitting area for the homeowner to enjoy inviting lots of friends over.

Now, with the addition of a beautiful contoured flagstone patio and new stairs from the porch, a new outdoor living space has been born.

Many homes are not allowed much space between homes. These areas often become unapealing and unuseful.

Now, with the addition of some Knock Out roses, a concrete pavers, and a stone walkway from patio to the other side of the home, this has become one of the homeowner's favorite relaxation zones.

The homeowner already had the beginnings of a beautiful deck system off the back of his home but it lacked meaningful space for family and friends to gather.

Now, with the addition of a paver patio, stone seatwall, and fire pit, it's the talk of the neighborhood and favorite gathering place all year round!

This space is much larger than it appears in the photo and while it may look like a large even grassy yard, it actually falls at a pretty steep angle to the next level down that leads to a swimming pool and the lake.

Now, stone stairways have been added from the back landing of the home onto a spacious and beautiful flagstone patio with seat wall and fireplace. More pictures next in this After series.

This is a view of the same patio showing the stairs added from the rear of the home and on into the next landing. Notice the stone columns added to the bottoms of the porch posts.

Why stop with the addition of a large patio - we also resurfaced the swimming pool surround to bring continuity to the entire backyard.

Another "small space" makeover. The homeowner had a patio area that was hardly large enough for two people.

Now, we've made use of the entire side yard by adding a flagstone patio from front to back of the home, including an outdoor kitchen, stone fireplace, a seat wall and water feature (unseen from this view), and a swing arbor. This adds beauty and additional living space while it increases the value of the home!
